Splunk Integration

Integrating Splunk with Josys enables the IT Admin to view the user accounts. 



Key benefits  

When you integrate Josys with Splunk, you can view a list of user accounts, including their status, roles, account updation, and last successful login timestamp.

Note: Josys supports multiple Splunk integrations.



Prerequisites 


Before you begin with the integration, make sure that you have:

  • Installed Splunk Enterprise
  • A Splunk admin account
  • A Splunk Enterprise plan
  • The Host and Port


Locating the Port 

 

Log in to Splunk using an admin account. Select Server Settings from the Settings menu and copy the Management port to use later in the integration steps.




Steps to Integrate


Step 1: Select Splunk from the App Catalog in the Apps section.



Step 2: Provide a suitable Label for identification. Enter the Host from your login URL in the respective field. 


For example, if your login URL is http://yourhost:8000/, then yourhost is the Host.


Step 3: Enter the Port as copied in the previous section. 8089 is the default port. 


Step 4: Enter the Splunk login Username and PasswordClick Next to proceed. 

 

 

Step 5: After the integration is complete, allow some time for data synchronization. You can now view and perform required actions from the Managed Apps in the Apps section.
