Integrating Dynatrace with Josys enables the IT Admin to view and manage the user accounts.
Key benefits
When you integrate Josys with Dynatrace, you can
- View: List of user accounts, including their status, roles, groups, and the timestamp of their last login.
- Perform actions: Add and delete a user account.
Note: Josys supports multiple Dynatrace integrations.
Prerequisites
Before you begin with the integration, make sure that you have:
- A Dynatrace admin account
- An Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.
- One of the following plans:
- Full-Stack Monitoring
- Infrastructure Monitoring
- Kubernetes Platform Monitoring
- Application Security
- Real User Monitoring
- Synthetic Monitoring
- Log Management & Analytics
Locating the Client ID and Client Secret
Step 1: Log in to Dynatrace using an account with admin privileges.
Step 2: Navigate to Identify & access management at the top and select the oAuth clients menu option.
Step 3: Click Create client.
Step 4: Enter the email address you used to log in to Dynatrace, then select Permissions from the Account.
Step 5: Click Create client.
Step 6: Copy the Client ID and Client Secret for later use in the integration steps.
Steps to Integrate
Step 1: Select Dynatrace from the App Catalog in the Apps section.
Step 2: Provide a suitable Label in the respective field.
Step 3: Enter the Admin ID in the respective field. You can get the Account ID from the URL.
For example, in the URL "https://myaccount.dynatrace.com/account/home?account-uuid=1a234aa5-6a7a-89aa-1aaa-2aa0a3aa4a5a", the Account ID is 1a234aa5-6a7a-89aa-1aaa-2aa0a3aa4a5a.
Step 4: Enter the Client ID and Client Secret in the respective fields copied in the previous section and click Next to proceed.
Step 5: After the integration is complete, allow some time for data synchronization. You can now view and perform required actions from the Managed Apps in the Apps section.
