Two-Factor Authentication

Modified on Wed, 25 Jun at 3:45 PM

Josys enables MTP Admins to integrate a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) module, adding an extra layer of security by requiring users to verify their identity during login.

To enable 2FA, do the following:

Step 1: Navigate to the Settings menu on the left and select Two-Factor Authentication.

Step 2: Click Enable to activate the 2FA Authentication. On their next login, the MTP Admin will need to complete the authentication process.

Step 3: Install an Authentication App on your mobile device, such as Google or Microsoft Authenticator.

Step 4: Scan the QR code from the authenticator app and enter the code

Step 5: Click Verify.

This will enable the 2FA. On your next login, you need to complete the authentication process.

Step 6: To disable the 2FA by clicking the Disable button. If you lose access to the authenticator app, then you can use the backup codes by clicking View Backup Codes

Step 7: Enter the authentication code from your 2FA app and click Verify & Disable to turn off Two-Factor Authentication.
