ConnectWise PSA Integration

Integrating ConnectWise PSA with Josys enables the IT Admin to view the account details.   



Key benefits


When you integrate Josys with ConnectWise PSA, you can view a list of user accounts, including details such as their status, roles, license class, admin status, and team. 


Note: Josys supports multiple ConnectWise PSA integrations.



Prerequisites


Before you begin with the integration, make sure that you have:

  • A ConnectWise PSA admin account
  • A Security Role
  • The Region URL, Company ID, Private Key, Public Key, and API Version
  • A Basic, Standard, or Premium plan


Creating the Security Role


Step 1: Log in to ConnectWise PSA using an admin account. Navigate to System and select Security Roles


Step 2: Click to create a new security role.


Step 3: Provide a name to the new role for identification and click Save.




Step 4: Open the newly created role and configure the Member Maintenance for the "System" Security Module. Set the Inquire Level to "All" and keep the other settings as "None".


Step 5: Click Save.



Step 6: Now, assign this role to the member used for collaboration. To do this, navigate to System, select Members, and click .



Step 7: Create a user,  assign the newly created role, and save.




Locating the Private and Public Key


Step 1: Open the role to which you want to assign the API Keys. Click the API Keys.



Step 2: Click Add



Step 3: Provide a name to the API Key for identification and click Save.



Step 4: Copy the Public Key and Private Key for later use in the integration steps. 






Steps to Integrate

Step 1: Select ConnectWise PSA from the App Catalog in the Apps section.


Step 2: Provide a suitable Label for identification. 

Step 3. Select the Region URL from the dropdown. You can get the Regional URL from the ConnectWise PSA login URL.

If the URL is https://staging.connectwisedev.com/, then staging.connectwisedev.com is the Region URL.

Step 4: Enter the Public Key and Private Key copied in the previous section

Step 5. Enter the API version in the respective field. You can get the API Version from the ConnectWise PSA login URL. Click Next to proceed. 

If the URL is https://staging.connectwisedev.com/v2024_1, then v2024_1 is the API version.


Step 6: After the integration is complete, allow some time for data synchronization. You can now view and perform required actions from the Managed Apps in the Apps section.
