Josys facilitates manual activation of the Josys browser extension by its end-users.
The deployment includes the following process:
- The IT Admin sends an email invite to the end user for browser activation.
- The end-user manually activates the browser extension.
1. Sending an email invite to the end-user
Step 1: Log in to Josys using an admin account. Navigate to Settings and select Browser Extension.
Step 2: Select the desired user (or users) using the respective checkbox. Click Send invitation.
Step 3: Before sending the invitation, ensure the following:
- Selected Users: Confirm that the correct users are chosen to receive the invitation.
- Email preview: Review the content of the email invitation.
- Reminder preview: Check the frequency of reminders to be sent to users if the extension has not been activated.
Once reviewed, click Confirm.
Step 4: The details of the invited users can be viewed in the Invited Users tab with the following statuses:
- In Process: Invitation is pending and has not been sent to the end user.
- Invitation sent: Invitation has been successfully sent to the end user.
- Failed: The attempt to send the invitation to the end user has failed.
- Activated: The user has successfully activated the browser extension.
2. Manual activation of the browser extension by the end user
Step 1: The end user receives an activation code in the email along with the Josys browser extension link for both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. Copy the provided activation code to use it later during the activation. Click the browser extension link of your respective browser.
Step 2: Click Add to Chrome to install Josys browser extension onto your browser.
Step 3: Enter the activation code copied in the previous step and click Activate.
Once the end user completes these steps and successfully activates the extension, their user details will be visible under the Activated Users tab in the Josys application.
