Modified on Tue, 10 Dec, 2024 at 9:26 AM

As a Josys Administrator, you can also integrate Microsoft 365 (Azure AD) as an External Data Source in Josys to automatically add user profiles in addition to Google Workspace and Smart HR.

Prerequisites

To facilitate the Microsoft 365 (Azure AD) linking with Josys, ensure that you have:

  • Integrated Microsoft 365 (Azure AD). To learn about the integration process, refer to Microsoft 365 (Azure AD) Integration.
  • A Business plan
  • A Microsoft 365 (Azure AD) admin account
  • Unlinked existing External Data Sources (if any)

Linking Microsoft 365 (Azure AD)

Step 1: Log in to Josys using an admin account. Select External Data Sources from the Settings menu. Click the Link in Microsoft 365 (Azure AD).

Step 2: Select a workspace to synchronize the user accounts and click Submit.

Step 3: Once Microsoft 365 (Azure AD) is linked, you will receive a confirmation message. Josys will start retrieving the user data from Microsoft 365 (Azure AD)  and syncing it. You can click Refresh to update the User Profiles data.

Note:
1. The refresh process takes some time to update the data.
2. When an existing user is synchronized through Microsoft 365 (Azure AD), then such user profiles display the Microsoft 365 (Azure AD) icon.
3. If only one integration is available, then Workspace option is not displayed.
4. You can link only one External Data Source at a time.

Step 4: After the data synchronization is completed, you can access the Microsoft 365 (Azure AD) user’s data from the User Profiles section. Here, all synchronized user profiles are displayed with a Microsoft 365 (Azure AD) icon.

Open the User Profile (will give refer link to User Profiles section) to check the current status of user data.

Disabling Microsoft 365 (Azure AD)

Step 1: Select External Data Sources from the Settings menu. Click Unlink in Microsoft 365 (Azure AD).

Step 2: Click Unlink to disconnect the Microsoft 365 (Azure AD).

Step 3: Once the Microsoft 365 (Azure AD) is unlinked, you can link other External Data Sources like Google Workspace or SmartHR.
