ServiceNow Integration

Integrating ServiceNow with Josys enables the IT Admin to view and manage accounts.

Key benefits  

When you integrate Josys with ServiceNow, you can:

  • View: List of user accounts, including their status, and MFA enabled.
  • Perform actions: Add, inactivate, or delete user accounts.


Note: Josys supports multiple ServiceNow integrations.


Prerequisites

Before you begin with the integration, make sure that you have: 

  • A ServiceNow admin account.
  • The Client ID, Client Secret, and Admin URL.

 

Get the Client ID and Client Secret


Step 1: Log in to ServiceNow using an account with admin privileges. Click on the All tab, and then click Application Registry.



Step 2: Click New

 

Step 3: Select Create OAuth API endpoint for external clients.

Step 4: Enter a suitable Name for identifying the Client ID and Clent Secret. Click the Submit to proceed.

Note: Keep the Client Secret field blank, the code will get automatically generated.



Step 5: Copy the Client ID and Client Secret, as you will use them in the further integration steps. 

Step 6: Open the All menu and search for System Security. Click the Roles tab, and select Admin.

Step 7: Extract the admin URL from the page's URL.


Steps to Integrate

Step 1: Select Service Now from the App Catalog in the Apps section.


Step 2: Provide a suitable Label for identification. Enter the Admin Credentials, Admin URL, Client ID.

Step 3: Enter the Client Secret Key copied in the earlier section. Click Next to proceed.


Step 4: After the integration is complete, allow some time for data synchronization. Now, view and perform actions from the Managed Apps in the Apps section.
