Enabling SAML (Single Sign-on) authentication enhances security and streamlines your login experience with Josys. It's easy to login using SAML (SSO) authentication.

Prerequisite:

  • Using SAML authentication requires prior setup, make sure that Josys is integrated with your chosen Identity Provider. If you want to use the SSO option, read the article Configure SAML (Single Sign-on) on Josys.

Follow the steps below to login using SAML:

Step 1: Open your web browser and navigate to the Josys login page.

Step 2: Instead of entering your username and password as usual, click on Login with SAML (SSO)

Step 3: Enter your IdP registered email address, and click Login.

Step 4: You'll be redirected to your chosen IdP's login page. Enter your SSO credentials (usually your organization's username and password). Note that these credentials might differ from your regular Josys login details.

Step 5: Depending on your organization's settings, you might be asked to approve the login request. Approve if prompted. Once authenticated by your IdP, you'll be automatically redirected back to Josys and logged in.

Step 6: You should now see the main Josys dashboard or homepage, confirming your successful login via SAML SSO.

Troubleshooting:

  1. If you encounter any login issues, make sure you're using the correct SSO credentials for your Identity Provider.
  2. Check if Josys is listed as an approved application in your SSO provider's dashboard.
