Assign/Unassign devices to user profile

Josys makes it easy for you to assign or unassign devices to the users in few click.

Sign in to the Josys portal with your Josys credentials.

Assign devices to user profiles

1. Go to People tab on the left menu
2. Search/filter the user profile you want to assign device(s)
3. Select the user profile
4. In the user profile details page, select Devices tab
5. Click Assign button
6. In the Add Devices dialog, select the devices that need to be assigned and click Next
7. Click Add. The selected devices will be added to the user profile and the status will change to In Use

If the user is leaving the organization or moving to a different department where the assigned devices are no longer required, the device(s) can be unassigned.

Unassign devices from user profiles

1. Go to People tab on the left menu
2. Search/filter the user profile you want to assign device(s)
3. Select the user profile
4. In the user profile details page, select Devices tab
5. Click on the Kebab menu (3 vertical dots) and click Unassign
6. Enter the End Date and select the Device Status
7. Click Unassign to remove the device from the user profile

Device Status:
Available - The device can be assigned to other user profile
Decommissioned - The device can't be used further
Unknown - Unsure of the status
