Stack Overflow for Teams Integration

Integrating Stack Overflow for Teams with Josys enables the IT Admin to view and manage user accounts.


Key benefits  

When you integrate Josys with Stack Overflow for Teams, you can:

  • View: List of user accounts, including their login id, status, and roles.
  • Perform actions: Create, delete, and deactivate user accounts.

Note: Josys supports multiple Stack Overflow for Teams integrations.



Prerequisites


Before you begin with the integration, make sure that you have:

  • A Stack Overflow for Teams admin account
  • The Team ID and Access Token
  • A Basic plan



Locating the Team ID 


Step 1: Log in to Stack Overflow for Teams using an admin account. Select Account settings from the user profile. 



Step 2: Select Teams from the Access navigation menu and copy the Team ID for later use in the integration steps.

Step 1: Log in to Stack Overflow for Teams using an admin account. Select Account settings from the user profile. 


Step 2: Select the Personal access token from the API navigation menu. Click Create a new PAT.



Step 3: Provide a name for the personal access token for identification in the PAT Description. Select the Team ID from the Team scope options. 


Step 4: Click Create.



Step 5: Copy the Personal access token for later use in the integration steps.



Steps to Integrate

Step 1: Select Stack Overflow for Teams from the App Catalog in the Apps section.



Step 2: Provide a suitable Label for identification. Enter the Team ID and Access Token copied in the previous sections.


Step 3: Click Next to proceed.



Step 4: After the integration is complete, allow some time for data synchronization. You can now view and perform required actions from the Managed Apps in the Apps section.
