Device Custom Fields

Josys offers you the flexibility of adding more device fields in addition to the pre defined fields. You can easily create custom device fields.

Sign in to the Josys portal with your Josys credentials.

Creating Device Custom Fields:

1. Go to Settings >> Device Custom Fields tab on the left menu
2. Click Add button
3. In the New Custom Field dialog enter the custom field details
4. Josys offers 5 custom field types. Text, Number, Dropdown, Date and Price
5. Select the required field type
6. If the type is drop down, populate the options
7. You can make the custom field required or option. By default the field is optional
8. Click Save

Editing Device Custom Fields:

1. Go to Settings >> Device Custom Fields tab on the left menu
   
2. Click the Kebab menu (3 vertical dots) and click Edit
3. In the Edit Custom Field dialog update the values and click Save

Deleting Device Custom Fields:

1. Go to Settings >> Device Custom Fields tab on the left menu
   
2. Click the Kebab menu (3 vertical dots) and click Delete
3. In the confirm dialog click Delete to remove the custom field. All the associated values to this custom field will be removed from the device data

Reordering Device Custom Fields:

1. Go to Settings >> Device Custom Fields tab on the left menu
   
2. Click Customise Rows button
3. You can reorder the column positioning by selecting the drag handles (6 dots) and move up/down
4. Click Save
