Import Device Assignment History via CSV

Using Josys you can maintain a detailed history of your device assignments, including records of all previous users. This historical data can be easily imported into Josys using a CSV file.

Prerequisites:

• Please Add or Import Devices into Josys before importing the device assignment history.

You could use the option of Add Devices Manually or Import Devices via CSV

Preparing the data:

Sign in to the Josys portal with your Josys credentials and follow the steps below,

1. Go to Devices tab on the side panel.
2. Click on Add button and select Import Past Assignment from a file.
3. Click on Download sample CSV file.
4. Edit the CSV file to input required device data. 
5. Save the CSV file with your data.

Make sure to use the correct asset numbers to avoid incorrect mapping of the data

Follow the steps below to import devices:

Sign in to the Josys portal with your Josys credentials and follow the steps below,

1. Go to Devices tab on the side panel.  
2. Click on Add button and select Import Past Assignment from a file.
3. Drag & Drop or Select File to upload the data saved in the CSV file.
4. Click Import.

1. You can upload only 5000 rows of data in one attempt. Please split the file for a larger data transfer
2. An Error message may appear for upload of larger than 5000 file capacity or for any inaccuracy/ incompatibility of the data

Once the device assignment history has been successfully imported into Josys, you will be able to see the information upon selecting any devices under Devices tab.
