Scheduled Tasks

This article will teach you how to track scheduled, completed, and failed tasks. 


Scheduled Tasks are created when any of the following events occur:

  • Importing/exporting user profiles
  • Importing/exporting devices
  • Importing/exporting app details via. CSV Files
  • Bulk provisioning on apps 



Tracking Scheduled Tasks 


The current status and progress of a task are monitored from Scheduled Tasks.


To track the scheduled tasks:


Step 1: Log in to Josys using an admin account. By default, all types are tasks are displayed. Select Scheduled Tasks from the left navigation menu.


Step 2: Click the Scheduled tab and select the task to view its details.




Step 2: You can view the following details based on the task type:

  • Task status: Processing, Scheduled, Completed, and Failed.
  • Type: Indicates the category of the tasks. For example, tasks scheduled for exporting all integrated app accounts are categorized as the "All Integrated App Accounts" type, whereas tasks created while sending browser extension installation invitations are categorized as the "Browser Invitation" type.
  • Created by/Created on:  Name of the user who has created the task and timestamp of the task created.
  • Schedule For: Timestamp when the task is scheduled to be executed. 
  • File: Name of the downloadable file associated with the task.
  • Completed on: Displays the timestamp of the completed task.


Step 3: Click Download CSV File to download the file attached to this task.




Tracking Completed Tasks


When the scheduled tasks are completed then all such tasks are displayed under the Completed tab.


To track the tasks, do the following:


Step 1: Select Scheduled Tasks and click the Completed tab. 


Step 2: You can view the following details based on the task type:

  • Completed with errors: The tasks are completed, but they encountered some errors. 
  • Completed: The tasks are completed. 
  • Failed: The tasks could not be completed.



Tracking Failed Tasks


When the scheduled tasks fail, all such tasks are displayed under the Failed tab.


To track the tasks, do the following:


Step 1: Select Scheduled Tasks and click the Failed tab. 


Step 2: You can view the following details based on the task type:

  • Completed with errors: The tasks are completed, but they encountered some errors. 
  • Completed: The tasks are completed. 
  • Failed: The tasks could not be completed.
